The company GASAUFBEREITUNG HIMMEL has developed together with EVONIK Fibres a membrane separation process for upgrading biogas to biomethane.

EVONIK delivers highly selective hollow fiber membranes with unprecedented separation capacity. This can form the basis for an efficient process by which methane in almost any required purity can be separated.

 

Our outstanding advantage is certainly the energy efficiency of the process over the conventional method. Of course, the gas permeation process has its limits of use, which extend, however, through intensive research and development continues. We try this, especially economic, push back the frontiers and to offer our customers technically, economically and energetically optimal solution.

 

To check these theoretical values in practice, we have a pilot plant in semi-technical scale built and run them together with the membrane manufacturer. The findings from the pilot plant will flow directly into the membrane at EVONIK development and process optimization with GASAUFBEREITUNG HIMMEL.
